It might not be a HAM Event per se... but I think we should all participate in making this world a better place~! ;)

Come and Plant-a-Tree with your favourite radio announcers on June 21st!
Pledge one tree or more and choose which radio announcer you want to plant with. The great thing about this is that you will be helping to conserve our environment for a better future while spending an awesome day out at one of Kuala Lumpur's least known forests. It is also Father's Day, so why not make it a family outing! It can't get any better than this!
About Tree Party 2009
In conjunction with World Environment Day (WED) and in support of local communities and their forests, Wild Asia, AMP Radio Networks and its eight radio stations (ERA, MY FM, hitz.fm, MIX fm, LiteFM, SINAR, XFM, THR Raaga) and Friends of Kota Damansara (FOKD) will be organizing a tree party on June 21st 2009 at Kota Damansara , Kuala Lumpur. The Tree Party is open to public but to be a part of the tree planting event, you have to buy a tree(s) and pick a radio announcer that you wish to plant with. Don't worry, Wild Asia will be on hand to assist you should you get starstruck!
There are tonnes of other activities happening there as well such as:
- Guided Nature Trail Walk
- Explore the lake in a kayak
- Take a picture for conservation <-- photo competition for all your avid photographers out there!
- "Scout's Trail" Mountain Bike Time Trial <-- for all the adrenaline-junkies~
- Eco-Playground for Children (6-12 years old)
- Eco-Playground for Teens (12-18 years old)
- Eco-Licious: Drinks and Snacks
- Eco-Booths
- Eco-Corner
